My car was broken into and tossed and thieves opened my trunk and stole an important bike from me. After having my old bike and rack cut off of my car, two of my good friends bought me a folding bike that I could keep on trunk and not have to carry up and down my steps. Now it too has been stolen. It was a Montague Navigator, dark blue in color. If anyone sees it or has any info, please contact me via this email tobolac@aol.com

This happened near High Point Community Center. It’s been reported to police but no incident number yet.

Chris – having a bike stolen sucks.  I hope you have success in finding your bike. 

During my bike rides I have noticed a few locations with bikes being chopped up, north end of East Marginal Way east side of the street and under the structure on the trail to the north.  

This so sad and disturbing. We as citizens should be able to respond harshly. Stealing is out of control. It shouldn’t be tolerated or its going to get even worse!Recently while at work a car thief tried three times to steal my sons truck.All he managed to do was destroy the ignition. This during the day.When do we say enough?

That is not a common or inexpensive bike so should be easy to spot, if it is still around. So sorry that this happened to you. I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

The area MJ describes, under the overpass, is a big chop shop if you want to go with someone to check for your bike. Sorry for your loss!
